The Oxford Society of South Australia is an official subsidiary of the world-wide Oxford Society and its activities are sanctioned by “Alumni Networks” in Oxford, UK. The present aims of the South Australia Branch:
- Provide a network for those having an academic association with the University of Oxford.
- Supporting alumni from overseas and interstate during visits and study tours.
- Arrangement of lectures, dinners, and events of interest to members such as:
- Welcoming of new Rhodes Scholars;
- Annual Oxford Cambridge Boat Race Dinner;
- Oxford Alumni lectures;
- Other special events with visiting guest speakers.
The South Australian committee currently consists of the President/Secretary, Treasurer and a number of committee members:

- Secretary: Samuel Murison
- Committee Members: Deborah Horowitz, Michael Magarey, David Docwra
